Personal Prayer
Here are a few of my personal prayers to God.
Let us persevere in our prayer until we break the flesh and stubbornness within us.
Join me as we surrender our hearts and souls to Jesus. Make my prayer yours.
I am Yours.
You own my heart, you own my soul.
You own my very life, you own all I have.
You are my Lord, and I belong to you.
Nothing shall disburb my unity with you.
All that I am and have come from you
And I freely return to you what belongs to you.
You are mine and I am yours O Lord.
You are my Father and I am your child.
All things are passing, good and bad.
Nothing truly lasts apart from you, O Lord.
You are my greatest and only treasure.
You are my highest joy.
To please you is what I aim for.
One day, I will see your face.
Nothing shall trouble me or shake me.
I am a Victor and a conqueror in this life and the next.
I am a restless traveler here on earth
and heaven is my real home.
My citizenship is in God's Kingdom.
You are the love of my life.
Nothing shall captivate my heart apart from you.
You are my one and my all.
You are my Summum Bonum.

O Heaven! I invest everything to be there! The fullness of life, the face of God, my true redemption! You have no equal, and you are immeasurable. You are more precious than any jewels, any diamond, gold or silver combined. Better it is to be in heaven for a day than a thousand elsewhere. Indeed, no eye has seen, no ear has heard what God has prepared for those who love Him!!! O let my life be focused on heaven. It is just a breath away, a lifetime away, a moment decided by God away. Heaven is so near yet so far. My life is full of anticipation towards heaven; one day I will be there by the grace of God. And so I rejoice even now, knowing I have eternity with Jesus ahead of me. I shall be like Him and I shall be as He is. And so I give myself fully to attain one thing and one thing only – heaven.
I can not grasp even now what is eternity – life everlasting. But that is God’s promise, that is His will and so I give myself to His promise.
My soul and my flesh yearns and groans even now to be in heaven. Heaven is the delight of my soul. It is not that this earthly life is very bad (though because of sin sometimes it is), but being in heaven is so much much more better! O how wonderful it will be! All the best things, all the beauty and all the excellence on earth is nothing compared to the glory in heaven! And so I seek the things in heaven, not the things here on earth. My life is hid and one day my life will appear with Him in glory! And so I exchange any and all worldly things for the things of heaven. I am willing to suffer, to pay the price and to endure to go there. May my every action, thought and motive focus on heaven alone.
May I live a life worthy of one day being in heaven with God face to face.
All my life is about God. He created me, gave me all of who I am. I can not claim anything for myself apart from what God had given me. And so this life is about returning to God back what He has given me. And my life is a life of thanksgiving – all the mercy, the love, the faithfulness of my God to me. I have no right to be proud or to be arrogant about anything. And so this life is about loving God back with the love that He has for me. But one prayer that I make is that since my life is so short of love, I pray that the love that I have for God and for others will grow daily, little by little. Lord, I pray that my love may increase daily. In order for my love to grow, I have to look at Your love daily and imitate that love. If I may, borrow that love. And so my goal in life can be said in another way: May my life grow daily in thanksgiving and the love of God. Not that I have attained it (and in reality I am far from this goal) but I strive to reach out day by day to grow.
